Prom schedule this weekend 4/20/24. The Grand March will start at 7:00pm in the high school gym. Students that are walking in the grand march need to be at school by 6:30pm. The dance at the high school will be 8:00-11:00. The students have 30 minutes to change and get to the fire station for the after-prom party that is 11:30-1:30. Everyone have a great time and a safe weekend.

All practices and activities for 4/16/24 have been cancelled. Due to pending weather conditions.

The High school Girl's soccer game on 4/16/2024 has been cancelled due to weather.

Students from Columbus went on a site visit to Sinclair Tractor, Washington. They toured the facility, explored the equipment, interacted with the employees and learned about the different careers available at Sinclair. Career exploration helps students learn about the skills needed for specific careers by observing and interacting with employees in the workplace. A big thank you to Sinclair Tractor for giving our students this Work-Based Learning experience!

Sawyer Foster from the Iowa Army National Guard took these students to the ROTC at the University of Iowa.

Wildcat Fans the high school soccer teams travel to Mid Prairie to night. The Boys game will start at 5 pm and Girls will play at 6:45 please note the time changes for these games. Go Wildcats.

There will be a community forum with information presented and time for questions this Wednesday, March 27th at 6:00 in the Columbus Board Office. A parent survey will be sent home with students on Thursday, March 28th.

The Columbus Speech Team gave some outstanding performances at the State Individual Events contest at Cedar Rapids Xavier High School. Results: Daniela Diaz-Solo Musical Theatre 1+1+2=1 Cade Storm-Solo Musical Theatre 1+2+2=2 Henry Hingst- Spontaneous 1+1+1=1 Damian Vergara-Radio News 1+1+2=1 Jocelyn Hernandez-Storytelling 1+2+2=2 Amelia Fulton-Solo Musical Theatre 1+2+2=2 Jocelyn Hernandez-Public Address 1+1+1=1 Bryna Schwab-Poetry 1+2+2=2 The 4 students who received overall ones will find out on Monday evening whether they are among the very best of the day and were nominated for the All-State Festival later in March.
